Ride With Us Virtually on Mother’s Day

This year, the Christina Clarke Genco Foundation made the tough decision to cancel the Christina Clarke Genco Memorial Mother’s Day Ride and Spring Benefit.

We have had so many successful funding raising events over the past several years and we have decided this year to focus on how we can utilize these funds best to enhance our Safe Biking initiative. As you know, our Safe Biking initiative has included grant opportunities for bicycling coalitions, as well as our signature Bike Light Hand-out Programs, providing riders (especially young riders) with lights and batteries free of charge.

But there’s still a way you can ride with us! In lieu of our regular Newton, MA event, we’ll be hosting a ‘virtual’ ride on Mother’s Day — Sunday, May 13 — in which riders like you and others all over the country will ride their bicycle wherever they’d like, and share photos and video of all the fun. Share the ride you do on Mother’s Day with the hashtag #ride4christina on Facebook and Instagram, or email your photos to info@ccgfoundation.org and we’ll post them!

Keep in mind that our number one concern is safety. We encourage each and every one of you riding in your respective communities to keep this paramount, as well.

As an organization focused on Safe Biking, we remain grateful for your support in helping to make our streets safer for everyone on the road.

See you (virtually) on May 13!

P.S. — if you’d like to help hand out free bike lights in the Boston area in the coming weeks, email us to get in touch!
