Our 2018 Memorial Ride has been cancelled.

Check back here for more information about our upcoming virtual event.

The Annual Christina Clarke Genco Mother’s Day Memorial Ride commemorates Christina Genco’s life and raises funds for the Foundation to support Bike & Build, a non-profit group focused on cross-country bicycle trips that raise money and awareness for affordable housing. The Memorial Ride started in 2012 with an outpouring of support from both the local community and friends & family who came together to help celebrate Christina’s life.

This Memorial Ride begins in Newton, MA and engages over 300 cyclists and 100 volunteers each year. The majority of funds raised from the ride support affordable housing projects in partnership with Bike & Build and Habitat for Humanity.

The Ride is designed for both families and elite cyclists alike, with bike routes including 3.4 mi, 17 mi, 34 mi, and 68 miles. The distances of the routes reflect the number 34 in honor of Christina’s lacrosse jersey number. Each year, a safe biking clinic is provided to help promote bicycle safety.
